Damascus
Damascus which is also known as City of Jasmin, is the capital city of Syria. It is the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world. The Old city still keeps its authentic medieval appearance. It is full of narrow alleys. The tourists can admire Souq al-Hamidiyya - a broad street with many tiny shops, Umayyad mosque or Mausoleum of Salah al-Din, known as Saladin.
Ḩalab
Halab, also known as Aleppo, is the largest city in Syria. It is one of the oldest cities in the world and the main centre on the ancient Silk Road. There are many both ancient and modern tourist attractions such as hammams (old baths), the Citadel, The Puplic Park of Aleppo or The Blue Lagoon - a modern water park. There are many luxurious hotels, bars, casinos and restaurants.
